Our energies have been pretty much centred on recording and producing the debut CD of the Portsmouth Gospel Choir, entitled \u201cHow Great Are His Signs. \u201c In the forthcoming weeks I hope to let you know how you can obtain a copy.
\nI also spent a day with our Musical Director, Joffy Girling and my actor friend, Alex Knox recording the guide vocals to the sequel of Risen! which has a working title of Acts because – yes you have guessed it- because it is based on the Bible account of the Acts of the Apostles. We are not yet sure what format it will be in – it could be a 50 min CD or film or stage production- or all three.
\nThis proverb called \u201cFor want of a nail\u201d recently caught my eye and I thought I would share it with you.<\/p>\n

For want of a nail the shoe was lost,
\nFor want of a shoe the horse was lost,
\nFor want of a horse the rider was lost,
\nFor want of a rider the message was lost,
\nFor want of a message the battle was lost,
\nFor want of a battle the Kingdom was lost,
\nAnd all for the want of a horseshoe nail.<\/p>\n

I read this in \u201cThe Word for Today\u201d which went on to say that in God\u2019s eyes small acts of obedience are big things. When you joyfully do little things like they are big things then God will do big things like they are little things.
\nThe words to the featured song have a similar theme:<\/p>\n

We can\u2019t set the world on fire
\nBut a candle we can light
\nAlthough we may not save the world
\nA single soul we might.
\nTeach us Lord that love is doing the little things at hand,
\nThus opening the door to those that are more grand.<\/p>\n
