And how can I live without You, if weren\u2019t there in my time of need, no comfort no strength just aching – life\u2019s painful words left unhealed to bleed. How could I live – how could I live?<\/em><\/p>\nThe whole CD was recorded in Ross Gill\u2019s studio that he built in the loft of his parent\u2019s house – Andy and Kay; Elders at Lee Community Church.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhere Would I Be Without You?\u201d has a number of tracks that have now been adapted and incorporated into our forthcoming musical \u201cRisen!\u201d\u00a0 For example \u201cA Crown Day A Cross Tomorrow\u201d has become \u201cOne Day A Crown.\u201d \u201cThe melody of \u201cHere I am Because I Love You\u201d is used for Jesus singing \u201cDo you have anything to eat- I\u2019m not a ghost see my hands and feet.\u201d And \u201cGive Us Your Heart Lord\u201d is the same version in Risen! as it is in the \u201cWhere Would I Be\u201d album.<\/p>\n
I have chosen \u201cGive Us Your Heart Lord\u201d as this week\u2019s featured song, again beautifully sung by Lucy Stimpson- Maynard. I feel it is particularly relevant to how we look and react to the world today with all its massive problems.\u00a0 I think the song holds one of my favourite lines:<\/p>\n
\u201cPeace stems from forgiveness, revenge brings more pain, to give is a gain not a loss, choosing to understand rather than blame these truths cry out from the cross\u201d<\/em><\/p>\nIn the musical Risen! Lucy sings the part of a Susanna, to whom Luke introduces us in\u00a0 Chapter 8:3. Susanna, together with Mary Magdalene and Joanna, out of their own resources helped and supported Jesus and His disciples. In Risen! Susanna\u2019s beautiful voice entertains Jesus\u2019 followers as they travel to and from Jerusalem and Galilee.<\/p>\n
I think I should take this opportunity to flag up another Christian musical called \u201cLove Beyond.\u201d I have just received information about this brand new production. The promo states \u201cNew Bible based Musical Hits the World Stage\u201d It is playing at the Wembley Arena on 1st<\/sup> and 2nd<\/sup> of October. http:\/\/www.lovebeyondmusical.com\/wembley<\/p>\n\u201cLove Beyond\u201d looks really great – now I have to put my hand on my heart and admit that \u201cThis old heart of mine\u201d (must be a song title there!!) \u00a0did sink a tad because my first reaction was\u00a0 \u201cOh no someone has got in first before our Risen!\u201d \u00a0\u00a0However a) that is so selfish -I am seriously embarrassed b) \u201cLove Beyond\u201d features the whole Bible Story whereas Risen! \u00a0focuses \u00a0on the Resurrection c) God\u2019s grace holds no bounds- \u00a0it is indeed \u201cLove beyond\u201d d) it proves that a Christian musical can be produced\u00a0 West End style\u201d -e) it reassures \u00a0me that if God is behind your dreams then you can dream as big as you like and your dreams will come true as nothing is impossible with God.<\/p>\n
So I am buying my tickets for \u201cLove Beyond\u201d and hope you do the same.<\/p>\n
