A video of her performing a cover of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ed_Sheeran\">Ed Sheeran<\/a>&#8216;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Supermarket_Flowers\">Supermarket Flowers<\/a>&#8221; went viral on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/YouTube\">YouTube<\/a>\u00a0in June 2017. She appeared on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Ellen_DeGeneres_Show\"><em>The Ellen DeGeneres Show<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Sherlock began busking in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cork_(city)\">Cork<\/a>\u00a0and later, from the age of 11, began performing almost weekly on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Grafton_Street\">Grafton Street<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dublin\">Dublin<\/a>. Her father, who is her music manager, is also present and remains &#8220;on guard when people are inappropriate&#8221;. He films and uploads her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/YouTube\">YouTube<\/a>\u00a0videos.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, Sherlock&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/YouTube\">YouTube<\/a>\u00a0channel was created and, as of April 2023, had over 5.73 million subscribers and generated over 1 billion views.<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Allie_Sherlock#cite_note-9\"><sup>]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0She later started a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Patreon\">Patreon<\/a>\u00a0channel,<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Allie_Sherlock#cite_note-10\"><sup>[10]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0and (as of April 2023) had over 2.3 million Instagram followers and 3.5 million on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Facebook\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, she was on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Britain%27s_Got_Talent_(series_12)\">twelfth series<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Britain%27s_Got_Talent\"><em>Britain&#8217;s Got Talent<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and advanced to the second round. \u00a0In August 2017, she performed at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Miss_Universe_Ireland_2017\">2017 Miss Universe Ireland<\/a>\u00a0pageant.<\/p>\n<p>In early 2018, she performed the song &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Million_Years_Ago_(song)\">Million Years Ago<\/a>&#8221;
