The Musical)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Taking a brief break from sharing Mustard Seed videos as I wanted to share this story from the recent Champions League Football Final \u2013 which shows there will always be a place for sportsmanship in sport.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/team?id=160\">Paris Saint-Germain<\/a>\u00a0captain\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/football\/player\/_\/id\/159047\/marquinhos\">Marquinhos\u00a0<\/a>consoled\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/team?id=359\">Arsenal<\/a>&#8216;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/football\/player\/_\/id\/236322\/gabriel-magalhaes\">Gabriel Magalh\u00e3es<\/a>\u00a0after his penalty miss in Saturday&#8217;s Champions League final because he suffered the same painful experience at the 2022 World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Gabriel struck his penalty high after his Arsenal teammate\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/espn.com\/soccer\/player\/_\/id\/251400\/eberechi-eze\">Eberechi Eze<\/a>\u00a0had also missed as PSG recorded\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/report\/_\/gameId\/401862897\">a 4-3 shootout victory<\/a>\u00a0after a 1-1 draw in Budapest to retain their title.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Marquinhos, 32, made headlines when, instead of celebrating with the rest of his teammates, he went straight to hug a distraught Gabriel.<\/p>\n<p>Marquinhos consoled Gabriel Magalh\u00e3es after his penalty miss.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When that moment happened, the first thing I thought of was the time I missed the penalty in the World Cup [quarterfinals shootout defeat to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/team?id=477\">Croatia<\/a>],&#8221; Marquinhos\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.br\/futebol\/champions-league\/artigo\/_\/id\/16779175\/marquinhos-explica-consolo-magalhaes-psg-x-arsenal-champions-admite-lembranca-copa\">told TNT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know how difficult that moment is for a player; it&#8217;s a weight that really falls on your shoulders. There&#8217;s no way around it; it&#8217;s our responsibility, it&#8217;s our moment there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Arsenal went into Saturday&#8217;s final as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/soccer\/league\/_\/name\/ENG.1\">Premier League<\/a>\u00a0champions for the first time in 22 years and looking to clinch their first Champions League crown in their 140-year history.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We fight all season long,&#8221; Marquinhos said. &#8220;Even though he has had a wonderful moment, by winning the Premier League, I think they really wanted this title, too, and it&#8217;s a huge responsibility on that penalty, when a player misses like that.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So, I simply thought about the moment I went through myself, which was very difficult, and I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him that I&#8217;ve been through it, too.
