The follow up musical to Risen! The Musical was originally called Acts- The Musical. This was because it was logical for the sequel to Risen!  to be based on the book that follows the Gospels and the account of the Ascension of Jesus to heaven– The  Acts of the Apostles (usually simply called Acts)

The interactions between Luke and his patron Theophilus which lead to Theophilus taking a journey of faith were soon seen to be of greater importance than the historicity of Acts. It was decided, therefore to rename the musical, Theophilus – The Musical
